Organized by a lot of creative fields, A’ Design Award & Competition is the right place for the best designers from all countries to promote their awesome works. The result of this world’s leading international annual juried competition is announced on April 15th every year. All best projects and products with creativity, technology, and superior design are rewarded with the A’ Design Award. The 209 jury members are composed of academics, press members, and design professionals that have strong knowledge in design to evaluate the submitted entries.

1. Elysium Royal Majlis by B5 Design (Interior Space and Exhibition Design Category)
This awesome work is called Elysium, an antique project of traditional interior design. It is inspired by the analysis and study of some best palaces and buildings such as Abdeen palace in Egypt and palazzo Madama in Italy. With a french timeless style in 17th and 18th-century European decor, it has a sense of harmony through its decoration, lighting, and furniture. Elysium is designed by B5 Design, an office with a specialize in a luxury innovative and turnkey solutions for a property.
2. NikolaTesla Switch Induction Cooktop by Fabrizio Crisa (Home Appliances Design Category)
The inspiration of NikolaTesla Switch comes from the simplest though of an on/off switch for the cooking activities. It is the latest induction cooktop designed by Fabrizio Crisa with an integrated extraction system by Elica. NikolaTesla Switch combines cooking and extraction in a single unit with unique performance and innovative functions. Its central disk of stell and glass completely flush with the cooktop surface, concealing the extraction system. Fabrizio Crisa is Global Design Director at Elica with beauty and technological innovation passion in each of his design.
3. Navigator Sales Center Sales Center by Kris Lin (Architecture, Building, and Structure Design Category)
Tianjin Shipyard is the name of this original building. It has a history of one hundred years, a milestone in Chinese shipbuilding history with a great contribution to the industry of navigation. Based on its history and to respect its original shipyard, Kris Lin designs this project with a navigator concept and named it as Navigator Sales Center Sales Center, a large ship is sailing on the sea. It has a combination of landscape and architecture, forming a modern large ship of technology and future science. Kris Lin International Design is an office with a high dedication to architectural design, interior design, and landscape design.
4. Studio S Matte Black Bathroom Faucets and Accessories by American Standard (Bathroom Furniture and Sanitary Ware Design Category)
A primary function of Studio S Matte Black is bathroom faucets and accessories. Designed by American Standard, the modern and cool look is inspired by the Studio S Collection design. It has a sleek black color with minimalist faucet designs and minimalistic surface details, offering water savings without sacrificing its performance. American Standard is a design studio that has shaped the home environment for more than 150 years with awesome innovation and design.

This outdoor furniture is called Niwa, designed by Robby Cantarutti and Partners. It is a comfortable armchair/chair with simple lines of design made of die-cast aluminum. Inspired by a quote that says “All colors are translated into sounds and smells….”, PLAYOHO comes as an art pavilion with an idea of living and quality of living. This pavilion consists of 28 nos. of circular rings on some columns, made with different materials and characters that can cast shadows on the ground and move in the wind. Designed by Ricci Wong Cheuk-Kin, PLAYOHO provides a free public space for citizens to have a free play moment. Ricci Wong Cheuk-Kin is a local designer and Artist/Architect with a lot of great projects by putting the creative design idea into reality.
7. Mozaik System Modulable lamp by Davide Oppizzi (Lighting Products and Lighting Projects Design Category)
Mozaik System is modulable lamp designed by Davide Oppizzi. This project inspiration comes from the mosaic concept with its geometric shapes. The luminous surface looks like a rain of meteorites that bring a luminous point. This lamp is designed to structure a building space which is very easy to install or remove. The vision of this project is providing a flexible light decorative product with the DNA of Designheure. Davide Oppizzi is a designer that begins his project with freehand research drawings.
8. Topography 1 Seating Sculpture by Mikyoung Kim (Street Furniture Design Category)
This sculptural seating piece is designed by Mikyoung Kim, made from laminated natural stone slabs. Topography 1 is located at the Alexander Art Park in West Palm Beach, Florida, USA, acts as a rain garden managing stormwater on-site, creating a wave-like form and benches for people to sit. The design idea of LockBlock Self Locking Knife Block is inspired by parents with active young children. They need safety around the home, especially from the sharp object like a knife. This innovative product can be an optimal solution for the securely storing kitchen knives that only an adult-sized hand can remove them. Karamba is a unique stool with an unusual shape and also functional at the same time. This stool is designed by Vasil Velchev, a graphic designer in an international company and project owner named MAGMA. Karamba has a unique feature, its rope and its attachment to the body and legs. SOL Pocket Rocket comes with a sustainable design with minimum maintenance and maximum performance. It is not an e-bike, nor a moped. It is a new category of electric two-wheelers, a perfect urban commuter vehicle designed by Manuel Messmer in Stuttgart, Germany. Phytoremediation is the core technology used in Natede. This air purifier can force the air through the plat roofs, amplifying its power of natural purification. It is the first IoT-ready and natural air purifier with an incredible photocatalytic filter that also can get rid of bacteria and viruses. This poster shows a fresh and colored image of the artist legs touching the living room carpet in summer. It also reminds all viewers of some tiles in the old swimming pool. Flip Flops is a colorful illustration of a summer day that can give two different images. The unique pattern behind the legs has geometrical and colored details, creating a sudden esthetic sense. Miriam Trilety is an artist who creates this poster, she is also a psychotherapist and an illustration with an extraordinary approach to arts and design.

The inspiration of Micro Mater comes from the awareness of anything creative is very inspirational and also nice when there is space inside. “Creating the impressive designed Sake that represents Japan” is the inspiration for Aya Codama BULLET Inc. to create this sake bottle. The Japanese most famous ornamental fish “Koi” becomes the main motif for the design. With the beautiful red patterns and cutting out the outer box, the package of Japanese Sake “KOI” Bottle and Box can visually emphasize the image of Koi. An ideal design for Aya Codama is about to make things better in various situations that can amaze and comfort everyone’s eyes.
18. Shoe Class Sneaker Store by Pinkeye (Interior Space and Exhibition Design Category)
This store space’s existing floor tiles become an inspiration for Pinkeye to redesign its interior. The tiles of Shoe Class Sneaker Store remind of an old classroom which is fun and cozy. The designer uses the old school furniture to display the fitting structures. Some simple shelves can create a creative and flexible wall system with the hooks. The desks are used to display the oldskool sneakers. It is a hip ‘talk of the town’ sneaker store with an idea of a typical classroom which is very unique for a shoe store. Pinkeye is a design studio who challenge themselves to create an awesome design and brand. Their new name now is WeWantMore.
19. Lynko Freestanding Modular System Nomadic modular freestanding system by Natalia Geci (Furniture, Decorative Items and Homeware Design)
The idea of Lynko Freestanding Modular System Nomadic modular freestanding system is about creating a basic structure that can be used for a constant moving family. Inspired by Kondo’s book, this product offers a chance to live efficiently and to design the user’s own space. It is made from wooden hinges and different sized metal frames with the standing structures. Those frames also can be moved by the hinges to adapt to any space easily. The artist behind this project is Natalia Geci, an Argentinian architect and designer that has been designed a lot of customizable, flexible, and light products.
20. Calendar 2018 Tri-leg Calendar by Katsumi Tamura (Graphics and Visual Communication Design Category)
Calendar 2018 Tri-leg Calendar is a minimum design calendar created by Katsumi Tamura. It is a unique calendar that can assemble the same shape parts and complete the complicated shaping as well. Made up from three-legged units that assembling some triangular pieces. They are visible easily and allow the users to create a beautiful work of calendar art. Katsumi Tamura is a professional artist from Japan who always create a solution in each of its product.
