In 2016, Tobi Architects together with Aleksandra Nuzhnaya participated in K-16, the All-Ukrainian architectural competition. The competition aimed at presenting the demonstration of design ideas and authoring solutions as well as the best design work using the tiles of the factory Tubadzin, Korzilius, Tubadzin Zien, sanitary ware from Keramag, and mixer and shower systems from Hansgrohe.
Ceramic House supported the competitions of the companies Hansgrohe, Tubadzin, and Keramag. They identified the best projects based on the architectural and constructive solutions. This specific competition was divided into three award categories; Interior of a Private House, Interior of the Apartment, and Interior of Administrative and Public Buildings.
Meanwhile, the winner was chosen based on; conceptual approach, innovation, building composition, emotional impact, uniqueness and novelty of the architectural solution, functionality of the premises’ layout, and completeness of the design decisions and manufacturability of the solutions. The chosen projects then featured in their advertising campaigns.
The work exhibition and the awarding ceremony were held in the salon of House of Ceramics. Tobi Architects and Aleksandra Nuzhnaya won the nomination for the Best Interior Design of a Private House. They then participated in the K-17 competition and had succeeded in winning the first place for their NUOVO VECCHIO interior design.
