A modern apartment with a glass home office for a bachelor is an interior design project by Alexander Tischler for a young man who is very interested in music and modern culture. This project is about creating a personalized interior beautified by art objects. Another aim is to find the best place for a home office because the client has a plan to start a Youtube Channel so he needs a place to shoot videos.

The interior is designed based on the estimation and fixed price. The cabinet furniture is designed especially for this apartment. The design team creates something drastic by removing the guest bathroom in the operational zone of the hall, dividing the living room, and organizing an additional bathroom and a home office instead of the corridor.

Black and beige are the two main colors of the interior. The furniture pieces and finishing are used to divide the apartment into “blocks”. A bright block at the entrance is formed by the wardrobe, walls of the hall, and kitchen column cabinets.

The dark porcelain stoneware at the entrance continues in the second wardrobe’s graphite facades. There is also a console with the down backlit in the hall and two big mirrors. Even if the bodies of the cabinets are black, a backlit will turns on automatically as one opens the cabinet. This backlit is also set above the hanging rods and the deep shelves for shoes.

The kitchen is the next dark block in this apartment. The wall’s finishing is beautified by large-format porcelain stoneware. For the upper modules’ facade finishing, the design team uses a non-traditional solution: metal for the texture so it can reflect the light but they are made of MDF and covered by special enamel based on metal powder.

The facades and decorative side parts are matched by a 45° angle for the block of upper modules looking monolith.

The client loves to have a tidy kitchen so the design team comes with a special place for the teapot storage. One can open the facade of a corner module easily and slide off the body frame. There are also sockets inside the module. A corner retractable system under the oven and behind the facade can withstand up to 17 kilograms of load.

The dining table with the micro concrete finish supports the brutality of the interior. This table is complemented with bright leather MDF Italia chairs. There is an original coffee table formed of laconic circles with the backlit on the top, placed adjacent to the grey deep sofa. This table is paired with round pendant Vibia lamps.

One can enjoy a relaxing time in the kitchen-living room by watching favorite shows on a TV mounted on the paneled wall. Tall enameled panels create additional vertical lines while a mirror reflects natural daylight from the window.

There are no corridors in this apartment after the project is finished. The toned glass divider separated the home office from the rest of the room. Curtains are hung to create a more intimate atmosphere. With an additional ventilation system, the client can focus on his work with the doors closed. An RGB backlit is placed in a niche under the curtains, a trendy light that fits a Youtube blogger.

A hanging table is designed and produced for the home office. This table is big and solid but it also looks weightless with its beveled edge. There are modules on the left side of the table for storing documents and books. A mobile mini light above the table allows the client to regulate and direct to the needed spot. There is also a backlit under the low modules.

A dark red shade is added to the wall painting in the interior pallet. It also makes the kitchen-living room interior became more dynamic and acute.

A guest bathroom is designed instead of the former corridor and is separated from the functional zone by a divider. A washing machine with a dryer and a place for an ironing board and iron can be found in the column cabinet. There is a round-shaped mirror produced specially for this bathroom. Porcelain stoneware with a concrete texture finishes the whole bathroom’s interior design beautifully.

For the bedroom, the bed is placed strategically so the client can see and enjoy the view of the city from the window. With the remote control and a panel, the clients can set the color and intensity of the RGB lights and backlit on the ceiling.

There is no separate walk-in closet so an accent wardrobe for clothing and accessories is placed in the bedroom. The RGB backlit is set behind the glass facade on the shelves to create a possibility to store decor pieces, accessories, and shoes behind the facade. There are places for backlit and clothes inside and a mirror on the opposite side of the facade.

Another cabinet is placed in the niche in this bedroom. The RGB backlit can be found behind the built-in profile handle while laundry baskets are hidden in the cabinet.

The entrance to the bathroom is moved from the corridor to the bedroom, allowing the creation of a small master bedroom. The wall in front of the entrance is beautified by bright porcelain stoneware, glued on the furniture facades. Behind the facades, there are sockets and shelves.

The same round mirror is placed in the guest bathroom. For this bathroom, a sink made of quartz stone is specially produced to create a mesmerizing look. The porcelain stoneware finish makes the bathroom looks like a monolith block while the faucet of the bathtub is built-in into its frame.
