Completed in spring 2019, Clawson Duplexes is one-acre, heavily treed property to become four duplex lots located in South Austin, TX. Designed by Marko Dom Studio, Clawson Duplexes is equalling eight individual residences along a shared drive. Each duplex has its own unique characteristics that can create individuality from one building to another building.
Duplex
There are four duplex lots in this project, designed desirable views and around adjacent trees that highlighting specific site amenities per unit on the site. The building materials and form are similar across the project and each unit offers unique characteristics to create individuality. There is also no interruption to enjoy the exterior interior of each home thanks to planned privacy and views.
Design
Every sustainable notion possible is used to design the buildings with little impact on the existing trees and site, cross-ventilation, and proper sound transmittance ratings. The landscape around the building also will promote social engagement among the owners of the property to create pleasant opportunities for neighbors to meet and engage.
