Completed in June 2020, A Bright House With A Spacious Living Room is a residential project designed by Souken Home for Mr. Y as the client. Mr. Y has decided to his master’s hometown to build a house as he feels that he will be living there for a long time.
After considering a lot of builders, Mr. Y feels secure when the design team from Souken Home explains everything from the beginning to the details about building a house. The design and layout of the house are made based on housing-related magazines and social media.
Wood, black, and white are combined for the house exterior. Since it faces south, many windows are made to create a bright house. The LDK (living, dining, kitchen) is not spacious but also bright. In this space, there is a wall of storage instead of a pantry.

A tiled niche is also incorporated into the LDk to create a comfortable space as Mrs. Y requested. There is an office space where Mr. Y is able to concentrate at work. Children can play on a wooden deck, warmed by sunlight during the day.
