Overlooking the city of Santo Tirso, MTMG House is a 2022 residential project by NOARQ. It is a single-family house of 882 m2 in size, stretching longitudinally to the western landscape. This project is all about transparency and light.
It is a project of renovation of a Souto de Moura apartment from 1992 that bought by a couple located in Foz do Douro, Porto, Portugal. At first, NoArq is not sure to do the renovation of this masterpiece but in the end, this project turns out into a preserved and restored project. This well-known penthouse is 290 m² + 85 m² in size with awesome ocean views.
ED&JO House is a 2013-2018 project located in Vila Nova de Famalicão, Braga, Portugal. The aim is to demolish a single-family dwelling then build another one in the center of V. N. de Famalicão. The gross area of this house is 408.90 m² on two floors with a 367.20 m² footprint, sits on sloped topography. Designed by NOARQ, the house floor is rehabilitated and expanded to preserve some rooms of the house.
Located in Vila Nova de Famalicão, Braga, Portugal, QST Renovation is a 2014 – 2019 project by NOARQ. This beautiful house is like a fortification, rises from broad blocks of blue granite into the wilderness. Each constructive piece of the house is redesigned and the building itself stretches till the blood-colored gate.
The gross area of this house is 643.20 m² with three floors. Rehabilitated and expanded, floor 0 now houses patio support and social functions. The interior of this floor is illuminated and ventilated by a patio. Floor 1 of the house is a mezzanine, organized around a larger patio and used for the daily life of the family. Floor 2 is used for relaxation and it is visible from the street.
