Jennifer Garland – Entrepreneur, Visionary, and Passionate Mentor

Loving Couple Seek Legal Consultation And Assistance From Law Firm. Rigid

Her experience as a paralegal working on high-stakes consumer protection and mass tort cases, laid the groundwork for Jennifer Garland to found a company that has become the gold standard in national legal support services.

That company, Prestige Notaries Inc., is a U.S.-based legal services corporation founded in 2015. The company provides field agents, executive signing agents, mobile notaries, apostille management, and heir/claimant connection services to law firms, title and escrow companies, and Fortune 500 corporations across the country. Backed by nearly three decades of legal, financial, and customer service experience, Prestige Inc. has grown into a trusted partner for thousands of professionals who need streamlined, scalable support.

From this growth came another business called NotaryDash. In collaboration with investors, NotaryDash was a natural progression of the Prestige network. NotaryDash is a web-based system designed to manage and connect clients, mobile notaries, and field agents in real-time.

With a background in systems-driven growth and boots-on-the-ground execution, Jennifer Garland has built multiple companies from scratch while raising a family, mentoring business owners, and leading with integrity.

Garland describes herself as an entrepreneur, mentor, and legal services visionary. With a career rooted in legal advocacy and a fierce commitment to service excellence, she founded Prestige in to bridge a crucial gap in legal operational efficiency—delivering high-quality, hand-vetted notary and support personnel at scale. Her platforms and services empower small legal offices, notary entrepreneurs, and underserved businesses through scalable tech.

Prior to Prestige, Garland managed a mortgage company where she saw a growing need for efficient, effective, streamlined processes and personnel – hand-vetted notaries to deliver exceptional client service for a reasonable price. She established Prestige to meet that need.

Leading Legal Services Provider to Banks, Law Firms, and Corporations

Today with more than 257,000 field agents nationwide, more than $500 million in mass tort victim settlements in under three years, and serving banks, corporations and firms such as White & Case, Vedder Price, Morgan & Morgan (not to mention 3,500 title & escrow companies), Prestige Notaries enjoys its position as a leading legal services provider.

Jennifer Garland is more than a multi-business entrepreneur, mentor, and CEO of Prestige Companies Inc. She now uses her platform to equip entrepreneurs with the clarity, structure, and mindset needed to scale real businesses and design lives of purpose, flexibility, and freedom.

A Passion for Mentoring

One of her passions is mentoring others, and while she says she hasn’t had just one mentor, she acknowledges that she has been blessed with several people who shaped her path in different ways. “My parents were both entrepreneurs who taught me the value of work ethic and character; if they didn’t show up, they didn’t get paid,” she relates.

“My mother has a servant’s heart and always led with compassion, while my father was incredibly generous and believed in giving back. Early in my career, I worked with two attorneys, Sarah and Todd, who left a lasting mark. Sarah was full of life and deeply grounded, and Todd was professional, kind, and quietly brilliant. They both saw potential in me before I saw it in myself and constantly encouraged me to grow. Over the last decade, Lisa has been a steady mentor—generous with her time, wisdom, and heart. I adore her, and I am so grateful for the role she continues to play in my life and career.” Garland says.

One piece of advice that changed Garland’s perspective—and ultimately her career path—was, “Stop thinking like an employee and start thinking like an owner.” It shifted how she approached everything: her time, her decisions, her risks, and her responsibilities. She says that advice taught her to lead with accountability, to solve problems instead of waiting for someone else to fix them, and to build systems that could grow beyond her. “That mindset helped me stop playing small and start building businesses with long-term impact,” Garland says.

Having been fortunate to have had mentors who guided her career and who have left a lasting impact, has meant that Garland is passionate about paying it forward and mentoring others. “I’ve been blessed to mentor over a thousand small business owners—from individual mobile notaries and field agents to other nationwide service providers—and it’s one of the greatest joys of my career.”

Whether it’s a one-hour coaching call or an ongoing relationship, Garland says she approaches every conversation with the intention to pour into others the way others have poured into her. “ I believe in being honest, encouraging, and practical, and I love helping people find clarity, direction, and confidence in their next steps. Mentorship isn’t a task for me—it’s a calling I never want to stop answering.”

Mentoring is More Than Giving Advice

Garland says her mentoring style has evolved from simply giving advice to truly listening, asking better questions, and tailoring her guidance to each person’s goals and stage of growth. “It’s become more intentional, more relational, and more focused on long-term impact than quick fixes,” she explains. She cultivates relationships with mentors and mentees through honesty, consistency, and mutual respect—by showing up, staying teachable, and being just as willing to give as she is to receive.

Mentoring, Gartland says, has deepened her empathy, sharpened her leadership, and reminded her of the purpose behind the work she does. “It keeps me grounded, challenges me to lead by example, and has helped me grow both personally and professionally in ways I never expected.”

How does Garland decide who she will mentor? “Whoever calls on me, I answer,” she says. And while someone else might not take on as many mentors, Garland is reminded of those who helped her, and says the most rewarding aspect of being a mentor is being able to give hindsight to those who haven’t started yet—”helping them avoid the mistakes I’ve made, move faster with confidence, and build something stronger from the beginning.”

Garland stays in touch with her mentors. Sometimes it’s by phone, or text, but it just as well could be a lunch get together or a trip. “My mentors are my friends,” she says.

Beyond the Office and Into the Future

Beyond Prestige, Jennifer Garland is a world traveler, passionate genealogist, and avid collector of elephant figurines—drawn to the elephant’s matriarchal wisdom and strength, a reflection of her own leadership journey.

Where does Prestige go from here? There is no question Jennifer Garland will continue to explore new and innovative ways to offer legal support services to companies across the country.
