Tribeca is a New York style gastro pub designed by LineHouse. It is located on a tree-lined street in Jing’an,
Tribeca
Pin
Tribeca’s interior adopts a sense of freshness and lightness which looks contrasting to its surrounding dark and industrial restaurants or bars.
Pin
The concrete walls are adorned with playful graphical drawings referred to the roaring 1920’s New York bar scenes.
Pin
The scenes include cigarette smoke with fleeting conversations drawn on one side of the pub’s walls, dancing feet, drunk hats.
A Strong Distinction
Pin
LineHouse intended to offer a strong distinction between the old and new through a white datum inserted into the space.
Pin
The datum acts as a high-level display shelve and wraps the bar with edging shadowless bulbs hanged beneath. The insertion creates a contrast to the existing raw concrete.
Pin
It also extends to the entrance where a terrace with exterior seating is arranged.
Mirror and Bronze Insertions
Pin
Within the white datum, mirror and bronze insertions are involved.
Pin
These insertions help create a sense of festivity and voyeurism with the mirror bulbs reflected upon the surfaces.
Pin
In addition, the centralized bar is made of stacked light wood logs equipped with a bronze and black metal shelving atop. It floats within the edging insertion.
