Frank Lloyd Wright designed a home near wildlife in St. Louise Park, Minnesota. The house is set on 3.77 acre triple parcel site. Although it is situated in a private area, the house is still near the downtown Minneapolis.
This house went with wooden cladding and blends well with nature which is surrounding the area. The light-filled home also overlooks grassy landscape and woods.
The uncommon and unique design can be seen from carport with storage shade.
Upon entering the house, you will see an entryway with wooden console table and a painting. Even from the space, it is obvious that the house is dominated by brickwork and wood elements.
The entryway then will lead you to the greeting room.
The Great Room
There are three main sections in this greeting room. They are greeting room, living room, and formal dining area. These sections are arranged to overlook the outside views through the floor-to-ceiling windows. The greeting room has a spacious bench seating and a coffee table.
Since the great room went with open layout, you can view the living and dining room from the greeting area. There is also a built-in desk and library shelves behind the living space.
As for this rustic formal dining room, the designer chose a light fixture with wood cladding.
Look at another side, there is a brick fireplace to warm up the atmosphere even more in this area.
Granite counters are spotted in the kitchen. Although it is not too spacious, the kitchen is equipped with cabinetry and an additional dining area with granite table. Just like the great room, the brick façade is surrounding this area as well.
Move to the main level of the house where the bedrooms and bathrooms are located. This is the view of hallway full bath complete with the tub and shower. Even though it is quite small, the bathroom still has everything for the grooming time.
As for this bathroom, it is located in one of the bedrooms in the Master Suite. Unlike the hallway full bath, it only has a shower room without the tub.
All bedrooms in the house have a custom-built desk.
The windows installed in each room allows the occupants to see the greenery views outside.
The Family Room
The family room is located on the lower level. It goes with the bench seating and built-in storage cabinetry.
